Virtual Island

With 100 Million Pixels

The goal of this team project was to create a tropical island environment in virtual reality to show off the newly-upgraded six-wall C6 cave display (now with 16.7 million pixels on each of six surfaces) at VRAC. It includes a hovercraft that can be driven in water and on land. My primary contribution was to integrate collision detection and rigid-body dynamics, along with physics-based control of the virtual camera.
